This script will:

  • Set up Squid
  • Check if all files needed to set up Squid are available
  • Add the group squid
  • Add the user squid
  • Add the group squidadm
  • Patch Squid
  • Make and install Squid
  • Install script for rotation of logs
  • Install squid init script

You must download a source archive file and extract ti to your desired directory. Then edit the line

    $ SQUID_SRCVER="2.6.STABLE18"
